MY Publishing LTD. (“Consumer Expert Tech”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Israel, runs consumerexperttech.com and its review pages. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through the site. Our full contact details are in section 18.
Start here: we publish reviews, we do not sell anything. No checkout, no order database, and at no point will this site ask you for a card number. What we actually hold is analytics about how pages get read, affiliate click attribution, and whatever you choose to put in a message to us.
Effective: September 9, 2026 · Last updated: September 9, 2026
Everything below covers consumerexperttech.com, anything on its subdomains, and the review, comparison and landing pages published beneath them — collectively the “Site”. In UK and EU data protection terms, we are the controller for the data described here.
What it does not cover is anybody else’s website. The moment a link takes you off this Site — to a retailer, a brand, a checkout — their privacy policy governs you, not ours. More on that in section 8.
Read as much of this Site as you like without identifying yourself; none of it is gated. The only personal information we hold is what you actively hand over:
Card numbers, bank details, passport or ID numbers, passwords, medical information — we have no use for any of it and no reason to hold it. Please keep it out of your messages. Anything of that sort that does reach us gets deleted rather than filed.
As on virtually any site, some technical detail is logged automatically as you browse — partly by us, partly by the analytics, advertising and affiliate providers listed in section 4.
We read this in aggregate, not person by person: which reviews earn their place, what is broken or slow, which traffic is automated rather than human, and which affiliate clicks belong to us.
We use the information described above to:
No selling of personal information for money. No payment processing and no financial details on file. No knowingly collecting anything from children. And no automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
Consumer Expert Tech does not sell products. Every purchase link takes you to another company’s website, and from that moment their privacy policy, terms and security practices apply — not ours.
We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, what those companies collect or how they use it. If you are about to hand over your name, address or payment details, read the policy on the site you are actually buying from.
Nothing is kept indefinitely. Once the purpose it was collected for has passed, it is deleted or stripped of anything identifying. In practice that means:
The exception is where the law requires us to hold something longer, or where we need it to bring or defend a legal claim.
The information we hold is protected by reasonable technical and organizational measures — traffic to and from the Site is encrypted, and access is limited to those who actually need it.
That said, no site and no transmission method is perfectly secure, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. Keep sensitive material out of email, and treat any request for payment details made in our name as fraudulent — we will never make one.
Which of the following you can exercise depends on where you live, but the full list of rights over the information we hold is:
One email to [email protected] starts any of them off. We reply inside whatever deadline the law sets, and we may have to ask for something that confirms your identity first. Making a request costs nothing and changes nothing about how you are treated.
If you are in the UK or EEA and you are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
We are established in Israel, and our handling of personal information is subject to the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981 and the regulations made under it, as amended.
Under that law you have the right to:
Send any such request to [email protected]. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity before we act. Where we decline a request, we will tell you why, and you may challenge that refusal before the competent court in the manner the law provides.
Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority (PPA) supervises compliance with the Protection of Privacy Law, and you may contact it if you believe we have mishandled your personal information.
Residents of California and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to know what personal information is collected about them, to request its deletion or correction, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of its sale or of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising and analytics cookies on this Site may amount to a “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are broadly defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and in similar state laws. You can opt out by:
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
This Site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or under 13 in the United States, as defined by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).
If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
We and our service providers operate internationally, so information collected through the Site may be stored and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those where you live.
We are based in Israel, and personal information collected through the Site is processed there. Israel is recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection, and is similarly recognized under the UK regime. Personal data may therefore be transferred from the EEA and the UK to us in Israel without any additional safeguard being required.
Some of our service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics and advertising partners — operate in the United States or other countries that do not benefit from an adequacy decision. For those onward transfers we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognized under applicable law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or the provider’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension.
“Do Not Track” never settled into an agreed standard, so like most publishers we do not act on the header.
We do recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information from that browser. You can learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
This policy moves when the Site, our partners or the law move. Whatever is on this page is the version in force, and the “last updated” stamp at the top tells you when it last shifted.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will make a reasonable effort to put it in front of you rather than quietly swapping the text. Staying on the Site afterwards counts as accepting the updated version.
